GMIS provides the students with multiple learning opportunities beyond the classroom walls. We use vital enhanced learning techniques and make learning more engaging to nurture our students’ creativity and imagination. Practical observation and visual understanding are always more effective and interesting in studying various concepts. Our campus is filled with green fields and multiple species of leafy plants and trees. Students learn better and more efficiently in this pure and energetic environment. Our well-developed biological atmosphere has trees with nameplates of their type and information so students can learn while walking around the campus. Students are regularly taken on-campus visits to read and relax in a healthy environment. It helps boost their creativity, innovation and thought process. They are also taught about farming and irrigation techniques by the farmers on campus.
The school building has been designed based on highly scientific Vaastu principles. All the five elements of nature, namely, Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Space – the Panchmahabhutas are incorporated into the design. Apart from the core architecture, every wall of the building radiates knowledge. The essence of Indian art and culture is embedded in the walls to teach the students while they walk around. Stories preaching cultural values are beautifully painted on the walls. Elements of Indian monuments are heritage and are displayed as silhouettes on the grills. Bulletin boards are filled with students’ artworks, poems, articles and projects to promote peer-to-peer learning.
Smart classes support the interactive mode of teaching at GMIS. Our secondary section’s classes are entirely equipped with smart boards, projectors and the latest sound systems. The digital content is rich with audio-visual aids, stories, quizzes and worksheets, which helps students visualize better and retain efficiently. The content is displayed in a gamified manner which makes education fun and actively engages every student. Digital education, activity-based learning and our dedicated teachers collectively provide the best learning experience for our students.
We believe field trips are an essential tool in enhanced learning. It is a shared social experience that provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore novel things in real-life settings. We take our students to various industry/factory visits, hospitals, science fairs, museums and so on to get an exposure to the real-world systems and processes. We also take them to places like orphanages, slum visits, and nursing homes to make them aware of various societal issues and contribute to helping them for the betterment of our nation.
Several education tours are conducted yearly to provide an enhanced learning experience. Students learn new concepts and gain new perspectives of different environments. In addition, educational tours play an important role in educating our young learners practically and interestingly. Students learn how to be responsible and manage everything independently. Educational tours give students the chance to build closer bonds with their classmates and experience new atmospheres. We take our young minds to different parts of the country where they learn about our vast ocean of cultures, traditions and values.
